What is Water or Hydropower Energy
Hydropower is the use of energy stored within water as it moves either downward as in rivers or within waves as in the ocean. This movement of water can be harnessed to turn watermills or waterwheels which do work like running pumps or other mechanical jobs. It can also be used to run water turbines which convert the hydropower into electricity.
Unfortunately, hydropower of most homeowners is not possible due to the lack of availability of large amounts running or moving water.

Did you know that saving water saves energy and saving energy saves water? It is called the Water Energy Nexus.
It has been shown the production of energy requires the great amounts of water. On the filp side, saving water saves energy because it takes energy and resources to transport, clean, and recycle water. So while getting energy directly from hydropower is limited, everyone can conserve water which will save energy. Go Green and Save Water!!!
